    An ancient strand of natural genuine not-dyed, untreated precious Mediterranean/Italian red coral beads. These Mediterranean coral beads were introduced into Yemen centuries ago (probably 300 years back) and have been apart of tribal jewelry. Red coral was seen as part of wealth in tribal society and valued in the same category as gold. Red coral also played as a means of dowry to the bride.
    This is a very high quality strand of Mediterranean red coral.
